Curry Festival at Royal Windsor Racecourse
May 21, 2012
The themed nights have arrived at Royal Windsor Racecourse and its second Food Festival will be the ‘hottest’ one yet.
Royal Windsor Racecourse is presenting the second Curry Festival at the course today, in association with Spice Merchant.
After a huge success last year the Curry Festival is back with Spice Merchant, whose restaurant “Cookham Tandoori” won the racegoers vote for Curry of 2011, who are taking over our Paddock Lawn with their favourite and most popular curries from the four restaurants in the group for our racegoers to sample, buy and to vote for their favourite!
Spice Merchant restaurants offer a refreshing approach to authentic Indian cuisine. Their thoughtfully created menus are the masterpieces of their Oberoi-trained chefs, and include both traditional and modern dishes, and a wide selection of seafood and vegetarian specials.
Each restaurant will be showcasing at least two of their most popular dishes, along with traditional pilau rice and Indian breads.
All racegoers need to do is sample the fantastic curries and fill in the voting form which can be found in the racecard - the result will be announced in the Winners’ Enclosure after the 5th race.
Matthew Foxton-Duffy, Marketing Manager at the racecourse, said: “We had a tremendous response from the Curry Festival last year and I am really looking forward to the evening.”
