Reading Pride launch party

March 12, 2012

An eclectic bunch of musicians is waiting in the wings to help launch this year’s Reading Pride Festival.

The 3munkees volunteer fundraisers are presenting Dolly and the Clothes Pegs at the Rising Sun on Friday, March 16.

There will also be a Pride DJ at the Forbury Road pub to kick off the official weekender launch, as well as the band’s own brand of covers, folk and skiffle.

Theme and first acts confirmed so far for Reading Pride 2012 will be announced at the official launch night, hosted from 8pm on the Saturday by The Wynford pub in King’s Road.

The launch night after-party will be at the new G club in London Road, East Reading.

Reading Pride aims to promote equality, educate people and get rid of discrimination in relation to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

The charity supports other organisations within the community throughout the year, as well as staging the annual festival.
