Christmas car meeting to be a classic

Classic car fans will be welcoming in the New Year by joining a convoy of vintage cars for a winter drive through the country.
Members of the Barkham and District Classic Car Club will be polishing their vintage Mercedes and shining their old Jaguars ready for the first meeting of the year on Saturday, January 1.
The car enthusiasts will be driving in convoy to the Phoenix Inn in Hartley Wintney for an afternoon of festive treats in a cosy country pub.
Drivers and their guests will be able to tuck into a piping hog roast with spoonfuls of apple sauce before chatting about vintage cars over a mince pie or two.
The group will be meeting at St James Church car park in Church Lane, Barkham, at 10.45am. For more information contact the club chairman on badccc@btinternet.com.
