Free golf taster session on Saturday

Wannabe golfers will be able to have some putting good fun if they get into the swing of things with a real pro.
Bracknell Forest Council is running free golf taster sessions at Downshire Golf Course off Old Wokingham Road in Crowthorne on Saturday for anyone who wants to chip away at a new hobby.
The free sessions will be led by the course’s head golf professional Wayne Owers who will run people through the basics of the game.
Councillor Iain McCracken, the council’s executive member for leisure, said: “If you’re looking for a new hobby and have considered golfing before, then why not pop along?
“Golf’s a great game for those who like to do gentle exercise, enjoy the outdoors and think on their feet.”
Sessions start at 10.30am and midday and need to be booked in advance by calling the course on (01344) 302030.
