Coral Reef re-opens after refurb

January 11, 2010

Swimmers will be able to have a splashing time now that a popular water park has reopened following a major refurbishment.

Coral Reef Waterworld in Nine Mile Ride reopened on Sunday, December 27, after it had been closed for eight weeks while builders retiled the floor of the pool and fitted a large model diving bell in the children’s area.

The bright yellow diving bell features a pelican and buckets that tip up and drench people underneath.

As well as the more obvious improvements, the reception desks in the Sauna World section of the centre have been replaced and some new signs have been put up.

Centre manager Mark O’Halloran said: “We can’t wait to welcome back all our regular customers and visitors.

“The pool looks fantastic and we are especially excited about the new interactive feature in the shallow water.”

Councillor Iain McCracken, Bracknell Forest Council’s executive member for culture, added: “Coral Reef is a fantastic leisure facility, a true jewel in our leisure crown, for both the residents of the borough and visitors to Bracknell Forest.”
