Mission Accomplished: Bar Risa and Bar Mango

The Angels thought we were in for a treat as we made our way to Bar Mango via Bar Risa in Friar Street. We were there for a a warm-up drink at its Frisky Friday night.

The evening sees all drinks at just £2 all night long – just how could we refuse an offer like that? And, if you collect its special pink balloon or flyer on the high street beforehand, you can get entry for the bargain price of just £1.

The resident DJ warmed us up on the dance floor with some of the best classic pop tunes around.

That was just the start of our brilliant night out, as us Angels had been invited to join the awesome Bassment presents Hospitality party. This all-nighter celebrated five years of drum ‘n’ bass at Bar Mango in Hosier Street.

If you hadn’t booked tickets in advance, for a mere £10, then you might have been one of the lucky few to have got in on the door.

The event is massive and has a huge following in London, so the good town of Reading was privileged to have these talented drum ‘n’ bass DJs gracing our decks.

When we arrived the club was already full and the night was pumping with partygoers from all over the country loving it, raving on the dance floor.

The night’s MCs included Wrec, Manikular, Flewid, Sye, Chalkie, Hotrox, AC ‘giving it some’. They were complimented with a line-up of DJs from High Contrast, Mistabishi, Linus, Deviate & Static, Re-Defeat, Taro & Solstic.

We joined in with chants of ‘the Godfather Linus’ who was on the decks and hyping up the crowd – the atmosphere was electric.

On that dance floor we gave it some with the best of them, with dry ice filling the air and the awesome lighting and sound system made it a night of club heaven.

Our night was also made by the best party people around, Sinbad all the way from London who told us that “it’s a big night!”

Michele from Maidenhead was “loving it” and follows this night specially.

The party went on till 5am and left us Angels wanting more.

thanks Miss L'amour, im sorry i didnt have a lot of time to say hello but i was due on the decks about 10 mins after you arrived so was a bit flustered with all the running about but really glad you had fun ;-)
