Mission Accomplished Tubs in Clubs, The Jazz Club
September 23, 2009
The Angels didn’t need to polish our halos or groom our wings – this week we just needed to get out our swimwear thanks to a new night out at The Jazz Club.
Tubs in Clubs, run by Berkshire Pools normally takes place across the country, but for one night only they brought it to Reading.
It was a party to top all parties of the summer – especialy if you’re already toned, tanned and love a splash about in the pool whilst sipping a glass of bubbly.
For those party people willing to bear a bit more than usual, those brave enough to turn up in a bikini got in for free.
Glamour girls Morgan Lees and Cathryn Trentham were already splashing about in the pool when we arrived, showing us Angels how it should be done.
We were entertained live on the night by a great line-up, including US rap star Cream (Daddy Kool), UK-based Desire McNish, and DJ sets from Suburban Entertainment and Damon Richards.
The Majestix Dance Group impressed us with their moves and were excellent.
There was also a modelling competition, along with a hot tub to chill out in.
The night also offered bargain prices for a quality bottle of house wine, white or rosé for just £7. We were also able to enjoy two-for-one cocktails until 11pm not too mention the shots of Sambuca for a bargain price of just £2.
How could the Angels resist letting their halos down and slipping into something a little less than usual? We could almost imagine being at a beach resort in Ibiza. It was ideal for a night of escapism even if it was just for a few hours.
Sam and friends were here celebrating her birthday.
Sherron from Caversham told us it that it was “the perfect way to end the summer”.

Something new for the party people of Reading – SUB89 is launching tomorrow.
The 500-capacity venue promises that it will be bringing a huge range of music and styles with them, the whisper on the streets is they will fill a hole the departure of The Fez left behind.
With club nights and live music, keep an eye on the website and Facebook page to keep up to date on all events.
Check them out on opening night this Friday – they’re next to Bar Risa. For more, log on to www.sub89.com
