Times Past: Bangers, beans and chips at cubs event in 1971

The rare old menu of bangers, beans and chips was made an annual event for Wokingham and district ‘sixers’ at the Imp Restaurant in 1971.
Chef Roger Brackenbury served up the familiar nosh to 50 ‘sixers’.
The lucky lads were Cub leaders in their groups, and, said Assistant District Commissioner Jim Earls: “This is their annual treat.”
After the food there was a slide show of some Venture Scouts’ expedition to Denmark.
