Glasses raised for new Wokingham brewing group

Beer brewers raised a glass for the launch of a new group at a Wokingham pub.
Around 17 beer enthusiasts gathered at The Duke’s Head, in Denmark Street, for the first meeting of Wokingham Home Brewers’ Association.
The group aims to bring together people who enjoy home brewing to share ideas, knowledge and recipes.
Chairman Jon Hosking said: “It was a really encouraging start.
“The crowd ranged from having decades of experience to people that were just starting up. We’ve set up a committee and may even go as far as running our own beer brewing festival in the future.”
The group launched on Tuesday, February 12, and will next meet at the same pub at 8pm on Tuesday. The meeting will include a session on brewing from kits and the equipment needed.
