Staff at an award-winning charity shop welcomed the arrival of the Charity of the Year trophy.
Helen & Douglas House was given the accolade at the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards in Reading, last year.
To celebrate the win, the trophy is being taken around six of the charity’s shops and stopped at the store in Peach Street, Wokingham, on Thursday, February 7.
Sandra Kemp, assistant manager, said: “We feel so proud to be part of a charity that has won this prestigious award and to know the work we do in the shop helps raise vital funds.
“Without the support of people in our community we would not be able to provide the service to the families who live in Berkshire and use Helen & Douglas House.
“We would like to thank everyone who voted for us and to all our customers.”
The award ceremony took place at The Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, based at the Madjeski Stadium, on November 15.
The charity is appealing for volunteers to help in the shop in Peach Street. To find out more call the store on (0118) 979 4349.
