Have fun at Wokingham's libraries this winter

Author talks, computer courses and English for beginners are among the activities at Wokingham borough libraries.

Richard Smith will host ‘Understanding and Enjoying Classical Music’ at Wokingham Library tonight (Monday, January 28) at 7pm. Tickets are £5.

An RSPB volunteer will give a free talk called ‘The Big Garden Bird Watch’ at Wokingham Library on Saturday from 10.30am.

Wokingham Learning Centre, at Wokingham Library, is running English for Beginners (English as a second language) courses every Saturday until March 9, from 10am until midday, and Computer and Online Basics courses every Thursday until February 14, from 10am to midday or 2pm to 4pm. Courses cost £15 or are free for people receiving Jobseeker’s Allowance. To book a place call (0118) 978 8069.

IT help and support and free access to computers are available at UK online sessions at Wokingham Library every Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm. Call (0118) 978 8069

Berkshire Family History Society hosts drop-in sessions on the last Tuesday of each month at Wokingham Library between 2pm and 5pm.

The library also hosts an Archaeological Finds Surgery on the last Thursday of each month from 10am to midday.
