Barnardo's in Woodley calls for unwanted Christmas presents

By Jon Nurse
January 15, 2013

A children's charity is asking for unwanted Christmas presents to stock its Woodley shop.

Barnardo’s charity shop in Crockhamwell Road is seeking collectibles, household goods, toys, clothes, books and accessories to help its work with disadvantaged children in the area.

Business manager Andrea Piper said: “We’ve all received festive gifts that aren’t quite to our taste, and many of us also like to use the holiday period to have a clear -out.

“Barnardo’s shop in Woodley is dependent upon the public’s kind donations, and our profits go directly into our work with some of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people.”
