Painted hands, cups of tea and a mini nativity scene were among creative decorations at a church Christmas tree festival.
Community groups, churches and services spruced up 18 Christmas trees at Christ Church Woodley in Crockhamwell Road for a dazzling weekend display.
“The congregation on Sundays loved the trees and how they made the church look so festive,” coordinator Beryl Wootton said.
“The South Lake Primary School tree was well liked, as was the 4th Woodley Brownies’ and the church’s Wednesday Bible study group’s.”
Donations went towards the church’s 2012 project Tools for Self-reliance, which has raised more than £4,000 during last year.
