Round Table Santa spreads festive cheer

Santa is spreading festive cheer through Wokingham between now and Christmas as he continues his tour of the town.
He is being helped on his way by members of Wokingham West Forest Round Table who are collecting for charities en route.
Last year more than £5,000 was raised and this year the Round Table is supporting the Ollie Young Foundation, Wokingham Mencap, Keep Mobile, ASD Family Help and Belamie Gables Care Home.
Andy Whitehouse, spokesman for the branch, said: “We are hoping the weather is kind to us this year so that we can make it out on the nights planned.
“We can cope with the cold and rain as Santa is used to the cold at the North Pole, but the snow has stopped us in the past.
“This is always a popular event and people always love to come out and see Santa.”
Santa will call at the following locations: Today, Norrey’s Avenue; tomorrow, Emmbrook Road; Friday, December 14, Chestnut Avenue; Saturday, December 15, Northway; Sunday, December 16, Dorset Way (North); Monday, December 17, Dorset Way (South); Thursday, December 20, Clifton Road (Joel Park).
Collecting times are approximately 6.30pm-8.30pm on weekdays and 5.30pm-8.30pm at weekends.
