Youngsters show off acting skills in Beauty and the Beast

By Karen Jordan
November 01, 2012

These excited youngsters from Wokingham are having a whale of a time in half term enacting the magical tale of Beauty and the Beast.

During a three-day drama, dance and singing workshop, the budding thespians, aged from four to eight, donned colourful costumes to help Beauty to free the Beast’s curse and release the handsome prince inside.

Coached by actors, musicians and dancers from the Perform theatre group, their half term fun culminates in a performance to parents and friends tonight at Wokingham Methodist Church in Rose Street.

Perform’s Emma Vincent said: “They’re a lovely bunch. It’s a lot to ask for them to put on a show in three days but they’re doing brilliantly.”
