Shinfield's jubilee jollities end with a big bash

Hundreds of families flocked to Spencers Wood Recreation Ground on Monday for the Shinfield Jubilee Bash.
Funded by Shinfield Parish Council, the event was the culmination of a series of celebrations across the village, including tea parties at various schools and an inter-denominational service at St Michael and All Angels’ Church.
Entertainment included a display of vintage cars, dance performances and a dog show, as well as a variety of fairground rides and games, a hog roast and a beer tent.
Co-organiser Carole Hughes said: “We wanted to have something for all ages.”
