Scouts success at Twyford Donkey Derby

Thousands of revellers turned up for the popular Twyford Donkey Derby.

The King George V Recreation Ground in Loddon Hall Road was the venue for the 14th edition of the community event at the weekend.

The fun day was organised by the 1st Twyford Scouts, Cubs and Beavers.

Activities on Sunday included Hook-A-Duck and a host of carnival-sytle game.

And of course wannabe jockeys got a chance to step up to the saddle and take in donkey races.

Visitors were also treated to a double-header showpiece in the skies when a Lancaster Bomber flew over the recreation ground and was later followed by the annual visit of a 1930s Tiger Moth, which released a crisp drop.

Cash raised during the day will go to a kitty towards the development of the scouts' new headquarters in Loddon Hall Road.
