Candy floss, balloons and lots of fun was the order of the day at the Wokingham Town Council’s Fun Day.
Children and their parents flocked to Howard Palmer Gardens, near Easthampstead Road, for the celebration.
Wokingham Town Council organised last Saturday's event and the town mayor, Councillor Brian Willis, was there to open the event and hand out green and yellow balloons, ably assisted by Cllr Dianne King.
Children could have their faces painted, watch a puppet show from the What A Doddle theatre company or enjoy free candy floss, while the Lions Club of Wokingham were raffling a Nintendo DSi.
The young children were fascinated by the petting zoo, which featured miniature donkeys, a pig, goats, rabbits, chickens and an enormous turkey.
