The Redan offers a night out with a movie

A Wokingham town centre pub will soon be serving pints and popcorn at its new film night.
The Redan in Peach Street has secured a licence to show Hollywood blockbusters every Tuesday night.
Bizarrely, the licence does not allow publicity, so The Wokingham Times cannot actually reveal which films the pub will be showing or what time they start.
Landlord Andy Rogers said: “We’ve got a lovely new projector and will be showing a range of films but unfortunately, we can’t say what they are.
“For the night we will also be doing ‘film food’, like hot dogs, popcorn, that sort of thing.
“We will be linking what we’re serving with the film we’re showing, the obvious one being Cocktail.”
