Airshow could bring new life to Winnersh

Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancaster bombers could soon be seen in the skies over Winnersh under ambitious community plans.

The Winnersh Community Partnership (WCP) has revealed a list of grand schemes for the village in the future, including an air show.

The group is also looking at other events in the Winnersh and Sindlesham areas including an art exhibition, a talent show called ‘Winnersh Has Got Talent’, a book festival and the formation of new village groups.

in addition, the WCP is looking to help improve the facilities in the village with a new health centre and a youth centre.

Smaller plans include an annual village fete, signs welcoming people to Winnersh as they drive in, twinning with another village in Europe and regular concerts in the area.
