Magic was in the air yesterday when Wokingham’s Winter Carnival took over the town centre.

Hundreds of people turned out to watch the pantomime-themed extravaganza despite the rain to enjoy stalls and a visit from Santa.

The day was rounded off with a procession through the town, featuring youngsters dressed as pirates and Musical Ruth the Nun.
