Fioa Dawes will give a talk on  Ideas for making garments with shortened rows when Woodley Machine Knitting Club meets at Woodley Leisure Centre in Haddon Drive tomorrow, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Admission is £3. Call (0118) 921 6969.

Blood donor sessions will be held at The Oakwood Centre in Headley Road on Monday, from 9.15am to 11.55am and 1.30pm to 4.15pm. Appointments can be booked by calling 0845 7 711 711.

Pie and pint club for elderly people
 

A club has been launched in Wokingham to give elderly people a social outlet by having a meal and a pint at a pub. Do you think Wokingham as a small market town needs that?
