The benefit of experience

23/ 3/2004

THE Central Berkshire Education Business Partnership, the charity which organises thousands of work experience placements for local teenagers, has appointed a new work-related

programme manager.

Deborah Chowney will manage the work experience programme in Berkshire, and develop other

work-related learning in schools.

Her previous experience includes organising modern apprenticeship training at Basingstoke Information Technology College.

She said: “I am looking forward to finding innovative ways to work with schools and employers.”

Mark Thatcher, the partnership’s

managing director, said: “We are delighted that Deborah has joined us.

“Her experience is well suited to help us meet the requirements of the Government’s new emphasis on work-related learning.”
