HOUSES came underthe hammer when an estate agency in Reading organised its first property auction.
About 350 house hunters packed the auction room in Binfield to bid on a range of houses being offered by Romans, in Market Place.
Among the ones that sold were three houses in Filey Road, Reading, Wyndham Crescent, Woodley, and Langley Hill Close, Tilehurst.
Simon Clayton, the agency's auctioneer, said: "I am extremely pleased with the results from our February sale - virtually everything was sold."
