Success is on the cards for an Earley woman who has been running her own business after taking up a franchise.
Mother-of-two Penny Wallington, of Gipsy Lane, has started up her own greetings card firm after joining franchising business Phoenix Trading.
Since Mrs Wallington set up earlier this year, she has built her own clientele by visiting schools and fairs.
She also attracted the attention of large companies, which she visits at lunchtimes.
Mrs Wallington said: "I was introduced by a friend and realised the potential immediately.
"Everyone needs to buy cards and Phoenix offers great designs at prices below the high street.
"I have been amazed by the quantities that people buy, whether in impulse or planned.
"In fact the Brits are the world's greatest card senders, sending on average 55 per person per year."
