READING football star Nathan Tyson was a knockout success with fitness fans when he helped re-launch a Woodley leisure club on Sunday.

The Royals player lent his support at the opening of Ultra Health and Fitness, formerly The Fitness Zone, based in Loddon Valley Leisure Centre.

Since taking over the club last November, new owners Alan Harris and Claire Tyrell have revamped the site in Hurricane Way.

Mr Harris said: "Nathan was fantastic - he had a chat with members and signed autographs before having a look around and joining us in a Champagne toast.

"We are a club for beginners or people who are looking to get kick-started. People can feel relaxed and not intimidated.

"We're more about baggy T-shirts than Lycra and mirrors."
