Depot aids lifesaving team

9/ 9/2002

LIVESAVERS, the International Rescue Corps, has enlisted a Reading company to help its rapid response team.

Shurguard Self Storage, of Caversham Road, now houses the equipment of the corps' Southern Unit.

Its 24-hour secure depot gives the response team instant access to lifesaving equipment that can be called on at any moment.

Recent missions the corps has served in include the Turkish earthquake in February this year, the Selby rail crash and the mudslides in El Salvador last year.
