A grand boost for care home charity

2/ 9/2002

OFFICE supplier Frasers has given a Reading charity a much needed boost by handing over a cheque for more than £1,000.

Boss of Frasers Office Suppliers Ltd of Cremyll Road Peter Fraser handed over the cheque for £1,300 - collected from customers - after

answering a call from care home charity The Duchess of Kent House Trust.

The Tilehurst charity, based in Liebenrood Road, has been calling on Reading people to help it raise £300,000 so it can increase the number of patients it can care for.

If the care home can raise the equivalent of £500 a day, to support services not paid for by the NHS, it will be able to house four more beds and pay for care costs.
