Charging ahead on safety

A READING-based electrical business has been highly commended in Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents awards.

SEC Electrical and Instrumentation, a specialist section of Southern Electric Contracting, was one of three companies to receive the commendation in the RoSPA's Occupational Health and Safety Awards for 2002.

It also picked up the award last year.

General manager of SEC Electrical and Instrumentation Tim Mallard said: "I am delighted the E&I business has received this award for the second year running.

"It is recognition of the attention given to safety by all our staff and clear proof that our investment in safety is paying off."

SEC E&I designs, installs and maintains lectrical projects and instrumentation for customers in the chemical, pharmaceutical and energy industries.
