Chancellor George Osbourne is bidding to cast himself as the grafters' champion with a budget designed to ease the squeeze on low and middle-income families.

He is expected to announce that a rise in the tax-free threshold to £10,000 will be brought forward to 2014 and families can expect a boost of up to £1,200 per child towards their childcare costs if both parents work.

A planned rise in fuel duty may be also delayed or axed and the beer duty 'escalator' which automatically increase the tax on a pint is also expected to be scrapped.

Mr Osbourne is looking for an extra £2.5 billion of savings from Goverment departments which will go into infrastructure projects designed to boost growth.

The UK economy has not grown as fast as the chancellor predicted since taking office with growth in GDP running at around one per cent. The UK also lost its AAA credit rating earlier this year.

To keep up with the budget we have teamed up with accountants BDO who will be bringing anaysis using the hashtag #rdgbudget

BDO has offices in King's Road, central Reading, and provides audit, accounting and business services around the world.

Doesn't the Reading East MP Rob Wilson realise that we can read.

Why doesn't he get on with his paid job and stop wasting his time Tweeting?
