Romans estate agents move to new Bracknell HQ as part of town regeneration

An estate agency named the best in the UK for the second year running has moved into new offices as part of Bracknell’s regeneration project.

Romans, which opened its first branch in Bracknell 25 years ago, has moved to the purpose-built office in The Ring.

Mark Wright, sales manager, said: “Our clients are going to love the fresh new branch as it is now more fitting with the market-leading services we offer.

“We’ve come a long way since the first branch opened and I think the clients who visit us will appreciate the difference.

“We are taking estate agency to a new level.”

The estate agency moved from Roman House in Broadway, which is due to be demolished as part of the town centre regeneration.

Romans also scooped the UK’s Estate Agency of the Year in association with The Times and The Sunday Times

The panel of experts, including the property ombudsman Christopher Hamer, praised Romans’ continual improvement and said: “Other businesses could learn so much about professionalism and all-round excellence from them.”

The Romans team was also awarded Gold in Best Training & Development, Best Marketing, Best Medium Agency and Best Medium South East.

Vincent Courtney, managing director for residential sales, said: “Winning this award in 2011 was already a great honour, but being the first to win it twice in a row is truly an exceptional achievement which will drive us to maintain our high standards going forward.”

They ripped up a perfectly decent car park for offices that wouldn't be amiss in Legoland. And who said estate agents don't have the first clue about property....

I also find it curious that any whiff of change that occurs in Bracknell is now reported as ...."part of the regeneration"

Well that must mean I'm ahead of the curve - Fenton, my man Friday, opened a new bottle of Chuzzlewits Gin for Margot and I. Not so much regenerated but the delivery chap from Ocado looked askance when M offered him a taster of her Dirty Martini!

Honestly I don't understand why Romans went to build their new branch in that place. It's not really visible from the town centre or even easily findable.

What have the Romans ever done for us?

I'm really not sure why the need a new office, which looks more like it is from the 1980's, when all they do is take a few photos, put them on RightMove and hope for the best.
