EnSilica moves into new headquarters

December 18, 2012

A Wokingham firm that develops silicon chips for smartphones, tablets, digital cameras and games consoles has expanded into new headquarters.

EnSilica’s success was applauded by Wokingham MP John Redwood who opened the HQ at West Forest Gate.

The business moved from The Barn in Waterloo Road where it began in 2001 with four employees. It now has 25 staff in the UK and offices in Cambridge and India.

Ian Lankshear, managing director, said: “EnSilica is a significant local success story, but our success is hidden deep inside the branded consumer products we use everyday, so most people have not heard of us.

“We are demonstrating that, even in these challenging times, it is possible to grow business and create employment – if you have the right staff and the determination to succeed.”
