June 25, 2012
A pharmaceutical company has been honoured for its charity work at a star-studded ceremony.
Boehringer Ingelheim in Ellesfield Avenue was presented with the Stroke Association's Corporate Supporter Award at the ceremony at London's Dorchester Hotel last Wednesday.
The company's help has meant the charity has been able to run a number of initiatives including it's Ask First Campaign which raises awareness of atrial fibrillation as a risk factor for stroke.
John Dixon, managing director of Boehringer Ingelheim, said: “We are proud to receive this award in recognition of our work in stroke. "We want to thank Stroke Association and look forward to many more years of working together in the future.”
Jon Barrick, Stroke Association chief executive, said: “The support from Boehringer Ingelheim over the last few years has been fundamental in helping us to raise awareness of stroke through our campaigns and events."
