Shop owners and market traders are urged to get in the Olympic spirit by sprucing up their businesses to take part in a competition.

Bracknell Town Council wants traders to take part in the Bracknell Town Celebration 2012.

The competition asks traders to decorate their windows and stalls to reflect the Olympics and Jubilee.

The town council will offer the winning businesses £100 to donate to a charity of their choice. The runners-up will receive £50 to donate.

Members of the town council will judge during the week of Monday, July 9, and the stalls judged on Friday, July 13, and Saturday, July 14.

The competition is open to businesses in and around Bracknell Town Centre. Forms are available at the town council’s offices at Brooke House in High Street, by emailing enquiries@bracknelltowncouncil.gov.uk or by calling (01344) 420 079.

Applications must be in by Friday, July 6.
