Mannequins and bunting at the ready – have we got a Diamond Jubilee competition for all you Reading retailers out there!

We’re calling it Reading, White and Blue and the idea is simple – we want you to create the best shop window display to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.

Let your imagination run wild as you interpret what this monumental Royal anniversary means to you.

You might even decide to theme your staff outfits to tie in with your window creation.

And it doesn’t matter what type of business you are – pet shop to plumbers, charity shops to locksmiths, we want to find the best design and display out there.

Judges will visit each competition entry window over the next few weeks and award a gold, silver and bronze in two categories – National and Independent retailer.

Entrants and winners will then feature in the Reading Post’s Diamond Jubilee supplement, which will be out at the end of the month.

To enter, email readingeditorial@trinitysouth.co.uk with a picture of your shop window and your full contact details and remember to put ‘Reading, White and Blue’ in the subject line. And hurry – entries close on Wednesday, May 23, to give judges time to do the rounds.
