More time to buy late night kebabs?

By Victoria Smith
May 02, 2012

A town centre kebab shop is hoping to extend its opening hours for the first time in 32 years.

Kebab Extra, in Peach Street, Wokingham, has been operating under the same opening hours, 11am-11.30pm, since planning permission was granted in 1980.

The business, which was called Appleby’s until last year, is now hoping to extend its hours to 8am-1am Sunday to Thursday, and from 8am-3am Friday and Saturday.

The shop, which serves kebabs, burgers and fried chicken, is among units earmarked for demolition as part of town centre regeneration.

A decision on the planning application will be made by Wokingham Borough Council soon.
