An aircraft repair company in Wokingham helped the dreams of young people take flight when it donated hundreds of pounds to charity.

Airinmar, based at the Hogwood Industrial Estate in Finchampstead, handed over a cheque for nearly £900 to Daisy’s Dream on Wednesday, February 1.

Jemma White, from Airinmar, said: “We did a couple of different events over Christmas to raise money for Daisy’s Dream.

“We had dress down days wearing our jeans and we did a raffle at our Christmas party and had some fantastic prizes.”

Staff raised hundreds of pounds by buying raffle tickets with prizes donated by The Forbury restaurant, L’Ortolan, The Courtyard and Elite Cards.

Ms White said: “We were looking for a local charity and one of our directors thought it might be nice to do something for children.

“Daisy’s Dream was a very worthwhile cause so we decided to support them.”

Vickie Randall from Daisy’s Dream went along to the company to accept the cheque and thank staff for the donation.

Daisy’s Dream, which is based in Twyford, works to support children and families coping with bereavement.
