IT solutions provider Integralis has raised a total of £2,012 to be donated to Starlight Children’s Foundation, which grants wishes to seriously and terminally ill children and provides hospital entertainment to sick children across the UK.
Three company football teams invited 11 other teams from the IT security industry to join them at the Goals Soccer Centre in Woodley on Friday, November 5 for a five-a-side football tournament in aid of the charity.
Other teams included Pentura, F5, Kaspersky Labtech, Arc Tech (Exclusive Networks), Checkpoint, Websense, Juniper, McAfee, Rhetorik, Vadition and Avnet.
McAfee was the winning team on the day.
Starlight Children’s Foundation chief executive Nigel Swan said: “We are always very grateful and moved by the valuable support of companies such as Integralis.
"The money raised by the tournament will make a big difference to some very poorly children in the Berkshire region, bringing them some much-needed fun, laughter and distraction.”
Integralis managing director, Simon Church, said: “We are delighted to be in a position to support Starlight Children’s Foundation, and for us to contribute to the amazing work they do with sick children is extremely humbling.
"By tapping into our excellent industry relationships we were able to organise a well attended event and generate as much money as possible for such a worthwhile cause.”
