‘Mumpreneur’ to launch a nearly new baby gear saleBy Mike Pyle

Maternity, baby and children’s equipment will be on sale at knock down prices thanks to the efforts of a ‘mumpreneur’.
Crowthorne mum Karen Sarin has organised two events to help mums stock up on, or sell, good quality nearly new baby equipment.
The Dot-to-Tot events will happen at the Morgan Centre in Wellington Road, Crowthorne, on Saturday, October 30, and Saturday, December 4, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
The proceeds from both sales will be donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Karen, who has previously worked at Hewlett Packard and runs an IT training company, came up with the idea to hold nearly new sales of baby equipment after the birth of her second child.
She said: “I was surprised to see quite how much stuff we had accumulated after having my daughter and son.
“I knew that we were not going to be having any more children and with Christmas on the horizon and starting a business, I didn’t have the usual funds to spend on necessities. I came to the conclusion that I would have to sell these items.
“I wanted it to be more than just a sale. I wanted it to be somewhere people could get together and feel comfortable that other parents at the event have been there, done that and still remember the sleepless nights.
“All of the tables have been provisionally sold for both dates, there has been so much interest I have waiting lists for people wanting to sell.”
Entry to each event costs 50p for adults and is free for children.
