DATA Inc chooses Winnersh as new HQ

October 26, 2010

A global IT provider has chosen a business park in Winnersh to be the home of its European headquarters.

Staff at DATA Inc are settling in to their new working environment after making the short move from their previous home at Green Park in Reading to a two-storey office block at Winnersh Fields, which forms part of The Pastures Business Park in Gazelle Way.

Bosses of the IT service and solutions provider, which was set up in the United States in 1983 and now boasts offices across Europe and Asia, believe the move will help meet the growing demands of its clients.

They believe its new 4,000 sq ft home, which will serve as the new official headquarters for all of its European operations, and the company’s expected expansion could create employment opportunities and make valuable contributions to the local economy.

Arun Verma, chief executive of DATA Inc flew in from the United States to be at the official opening of the office on Monday morning.

He said: “DATA Inc was built on a base of continuous re-investment, which has provided us with a debt free operation.

“With this disciplined spending operation helping us ride out the recession waves we have now chosen to fund and invest in expanding the organisation.”

The company has been conducting its European operations from the UK since 2002 and is hoping to continue growing the business from its base in Winnersh.
