Lidl bids to keep extended opening hours

A budget supermarket has applied to extend a temporary permission which allows it to open late into the evening.
Last year Lidl in Crowthorne High Street applied permission to open until 10pm from Monday to Saturday.
The supermarket was given permission, but only on a six-month temporary basis to make sure the change did not disturb the people living in retirement home Carlisle Court to the rear.
Now Lidl has applied to Bracknell Forest Council to extend that permission on a permanent basis.
