CEO of Thames Water steps down

The chief executive officer of Thames Water has stepped down the company has announced.

David Owens took up the role of CEO in 2006 and during this time refocused the core business of the company to deliver significant improvements in its performance and reputation.

Sir Peter Mason, chairman of Thames Water Utilities Limited said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank David for his leadership and commitment to making Thames Water a company we can all be proud of.”

Martin Baggs, who has been a member of the Thames Water Board since December 2006, will be appointed interim CEO of Thames Water.
