May 27, 2009
Dr Jennifer Whyte has been appointed an Advanced Institute of Management (AIM) fellow at The University of Reading.
Dr Whyte from the School of Construction Manage-ment and Engineering, is one of just seven fellows who have been chosen to research into improving manage-ment practice.
Jointly funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the new AIM fellows will join the existing cohorts researching productivity and services.
Her research during the two-year fellowship will include a review of management practices in project-based design businesses.
She said: “I am delighted to be appointed as an AIM fellow. It is a real honour and recognises that engineering and construction are important contexts in which to study and understand management.”
