Interns at a Hewlett Packard in Bracknell are taking on the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge for charity.

The group will attempt to climb three of the country's highest mountains in less than 24 hours as part of the challenge.

The sporty team is made of 15 interns, 13 of whom work at the company's Cain Road headquarters.

The interns, all aged 21 and 22, are hoping to raise £2,000 for Action for Children, a charity that helps youngsters fulfil their potential.

To complete the challenge, which takes place on Saturday, the group will have to will have to scale Snowdon in Wales, Ben Nevis in Scotland and Scafell Pike in the Lake District in less than 24 hours.

HP intern Russell Wing said: “We decided to do it as a group to raise as much money as possible.

“We’ve already had a few events to raise money, just cake sales and things, but the main thing is this challenge.

“The training has been good so far. Wednesday [yesterday] will be our first session training all together, so it’ll be good to get some banter going – I think we’ll need that for the real thing.”
