Injury solicitors’ new chairman

March 06, 2009

Reading lawyer Adrian Desmond has been elected the new chairman of the Forum of Complex Injury Solicitors (FOCIS).

Mr Desmond, medical negligence expert at Abbey Street law firm Boyes Turner, takes up the two-year role immediately.

He replaces Richard Vallance of Charles Russell Solicitors who had held the role since February 2007.

FOCIS was set up in 1997 to promote high standards of representation of clients in the fields of personal injury and medical negligence claims.

“I am delighted to have been elected to chair the forum of which I have been a member since it was founded,” said Mr Desmond.

“The forum will continue to promote excellence in personal injury practice by sharing experience and expressing informed views.”
