A Reading stylist put her scissor skills on show at the hairdressing industry’s most prestigious annual event.
Melissa Walton, who works at Essensuals hair salon in West Street, styled the hair for six dancers and two models at the glitzy Salon International at Excel in London.
Part of the renowned Racoon International extensions artistic team, Melissa worked alongside iconic hairdressers such as Nick Malenko and Errol Douglas to create the stunning hair styles.
More than 100 industry figures attended the event last month, dubbed the hairdressing equivalent of London and Paris Fashion Week.
Melissa said: “Working at Salon International was fantastic. Being in the Artistic Team is so inspiring and working alongside A-list celeb hairdressers has been an incredible experience.
“My clients think it is fantastic to have their stylist’s work featured in magazines and on catwalks and I think it is an endorsement of my skill that I have been picked to do these jobs.”
