November 05, 2001

READING LDV dealer, Barnes, has won a £1million deal to supply a rental company with 62 minibuses.

Scot Hire, Europe's largest Hertz international franchisee, will use the Convoy minibuses to

operate from its new east of England offices.

Roger Hancock, operations and sales director of Scot Hire, said: "The rental industry is extremely competitive and it is important we remain so. These LDV vehicles will ensure we continue to provide a competitive service and as a result will benefit both Scot Hire and our clients."

Nigel Woodhouse, of Barnes of Reading, based in Theale, said: "Barnes fully understands the pressure placed on vehicle rental companies to deliver the best customer service levels at all times.

"We worked hard to ensure Scot Hire was supplied with the best vehicles that met its exact specifications and budget."
