A HAPPY gang of youngsters got to meet Father Christmas early when they were invited to a party at an accountancy firm in Theale.

The Year Four pupils from Calcot Junior School were treated to the special yuletide bash complete with a real Santa Claus and a magician at KPMG in Arlington Business Park.

Staff at the firm, who also bought the children presents, are involved in a reading scheme with the eight and nine-year-olds at the school in Curtis Road.

Scheme co-ordinator James Lloyd explained members of staff meet the youngsters once a week during the year to read with them.

"We have been doing that for a few years," he said.

"Each year we throw the kids a Christmas party.

"It went very well and gave the children a good time."
