Talking Rugby:Come and support Berkshire Cup clashBy Craig Hunter

News from Reading Rugby Club with chairman Craig Hunter
Berkshire Cup Rugby returns this Saturday when we’ll be making the shortest of journeys to local rivals Redingensians RFC at their Old Bath Road grounds in, Sonning.
The winners of this game will then meet Bracknell RFC in the final.
This game will be a tough one for us, as Redingensians are a powerful team. They’re currently in a league higher to us and unfortunately we have a number of our regular 1st XV players resting or unavailable.
However, we have selected the strongest side possible, which include many of our 2nd XV players who will have the opportunity to shine and show their talents.
The 2nd XV and 3rd XV work closely with the 1st XV in training, so when players have the chance to step up they know the way we want to play rugby.
This has worked well this season and we are starting to get the strength in depth we need to move forward.
Please come and support this game. Kick-off is at 2.15pm.
I would also like to wish our 2nd XV the best of luck this weekend too, as they’re playing away at Bracknell and the same goes to the Saxons, who are playing at home in a friendly.
The mighty Vets will also be competing in the Vets Berkshire Cup In Windsor this weekend.
This weekend also sees the last of the Autumn Internationals, with England playing host to the mighty All Blacks, who have been extremely impressive on this tour beating all teams prior to the upcoming game.
England’s performance improved last week against Australia but they will need to be at their best to stop the Kiwis. A lot has been said of Stuart Lancaster as head coach, but to most of us running the amateur game he has been a breath of fresh air and we wish him well this weekend.
