Talking Rugby: Join us for Ladies Day

By Craig Hunter
February 03, 2012

Last weekend we saw a huge triumph for Reading RFC senior rugby. The 1st XV had a great win away against high flying

Cheltenham, beating them 17-31 and gaining the all important bonus point, which made it three wins out of four matches in 2012.

The 2nd XV and Vets also had good wins in their respective leagues but the highlight of the weekend for me was that we were able to put out a fifth team for the second time this season due to the increased number of players we have recruited over the last few months.

It was only a few seasons ago that we could not field a 2nd XV so this is a great effort by all.

Tomorrow we will be entertaining High Wycombe, another local derby, which should prove to be a great game.

It is also Ladies Day at Holme Park, where all the wives, girlfriends and partners are invited along to enjoy a pre-match buffet, watch the three home games and for a change let the guys drive them home.

To top it all off we have the start of the Six Nations, both games will be shown live in the clubhouse starting with France v Italy, followed by Scotland v England at 5pm.

The clubhouse is open from noon and is open to everyone.
